Poll Tests Women's Shallowness
Wednesday, March 25, 2009 Labels: entertainment, morals 4 commentsA poll of 2,000 women aged 18-34 reveals that they find it hard to choose between brains, beauty and being nice.
* 25 percent would rather win America’s Next Top Model than the Nobel Peace Prize.
* 88 percent would give up their cell phones, jewelry or makeup to keep a friendship.
* 75 percent would shave their head to save the life of a stranger.
* 25 percent would make their best friend fat for life if it meant they could be thin.
* Half of the 18-24 year olds would marry an ugly man if he were a millionaire.

Women have always been like this, but the Victorian Era trained the anglosphere to regard women as more virtuous than men. We're still paying dearly for this, as evidenced by the way that so many of our laws and attitudes treat women as better than men, when in reality, women are cut from the same cloth.
I am curious what the results would have been if they asked me the same questions... I am willing to bet they aren't that far from each other.
Women, Men, youngsters...all are very shallow. Much more so than ever before (I believe).
The oncoming problems in the U.S. may help to battle this phenomenon.
None of these answers surprise me except this one:
* 25 percent would make their best friend fat for life if it meant they could be thin.
For life no less!
