This song has a powerful message regarding marriage.

How many marriages would be saved if we followed Biblical truth?

Proverbs 5:1-8

"My son, pay attention to my wisdom; Lend your ear to my understanding, (2) That you may preserve discretion, And your lips may keep knowledge. (3) For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey, And her mouth is smoother than oil; (4) But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two-edged sword. (5) Her feet go down to death, Her steps lay hold of hell. (6) Lest you ponder her path of life--Her ways are unstable; You do not know them. (7) Therefore hear me now, my children, And do not depart from the words of my mouth. (8) Remove your way far from her, And do not go near the door of her house"

1 Timothy 6:10
"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

Matthew 19:3-6
"The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?" (4) And He answered and said to them, "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,' (5) and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? "6" So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."

Percentage of married people who reach their 5th, 10th, and 15th anniversaries:

How many of those who don't make it, don't make it due to the fact that they die?
Unsure of the raw numbers they used.

Yah, that 50th mark is quite possible due to death, especially when you think about how we are now waiting to get married later and later, if at all.

I believe the first set of dates though, that doesn't surprise me much. I know my wife and I are coming up on our 4/5th year this year.

Going on 8 years! Not bad considering I'm 26 years old. I will admit that the first year and a half were pretty rough, but fighting through was completely worth it.

Yeah, you should try and find the info adjusting for death. Obviously, there would be a severe difference, and we'd have more accurate information.

Regardless of death numbers, the divorce rate is uber high. I wonder how much it would drop if we didn't count Las Vegas marriages...
