I stumbled upon this video on another blog and decided to post it here since there is more people that visit this site that have a religious interest. I for one have been very concerned with the power and influence Oprah has over people. However, I was unaware of her views on religion since I do not watch her program. If I ever get the chance to meet her I will point out Exodus 20:5 which says "ForI, the Lord your God, am a jealous God".
I think Christians need to be aware of these blasphemous uprisings. In which I also include the movement of "Obamamania". Anyone who is referred to as messiah or savior needs to be taken seriously and with caution. Philosopher and Christian hater Frederick Nietzsche also made similar references and said "god is dead". For the record, Nietzsche went crazy and died.
God is all powerful and does not need us, but we are called to defend with the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-20).

Oprah is an idiot. Having said that, she does have a lot of influence over this country, particularly among women. It's a shame she's so misguided, she could be using her powers for good instead of evil. Maybe she's antichrist's false prophet. Just kidding. Sortof.
2 million viewers aren't 2 million followers. Was she not challenged even in her live audience? Imagine the disagreements at home! I think there are bigger threats to our culture and religion out there.
And for Nietzche? "God is dead" doesn't refer to a being he doesn't believe in, but rather to the end of Christian culture in Europe. Unfortunately, he was dead on, and devastatingly prophetic.

I agree that 2 million viewers does not equate to 2 million followers. However, she is very influential and causing confusion. There probably are threats larger to this, but this is still a threat.
