Will We Remember?
Sunday, April 6, 2008 Labels: religion, Theology 5 commentsRevelation 21:4
"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
This is one verse out of Revelation chapter 21 which describes heaven. I have heard many people exclaim anticipation for this moment and rightfully so. However, I have one question whenever I hear this. Will we remember loved ones who were not saved or just not be saddened by it? I know some things go unexplained or beyond our comprehension, but I was looking for other thoughts.
Not sure either, Craig.
But Waynedawg put up a post and it made me realize that the old me is dead.
He'll be there and it won't cause me, the new me, any sadness at all.
But that's just a thought I had.
I think we may be saddened the same way God is saddened when He has to commit somebody to judgement. But we will have an understanding, and it won't be the same sadness we know in this life.
Can we ever be sure who is and isn't saved?
DP,
I don't think we can, actually.
DP and miket,
In regards to being sure of who is and isn't saved, does this apply when we are in heaven?
Are we going to be so consumed by the presence of God to not think about others we knew on earth?
