Election
Friday, August 29, 2008 Labels: election 3 commentsThis post is open to anything you want to say about the presidential election. What did you think of the Democrat convention? Obama, Biden or the Clintons? What do you think of McCain picking Sarah Palin? Anything goes.
UPDATE:
Gov. Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter is 5 months pregnant. How does this effect the ticket? Also, how does this look for a mother of young children taking on such a huge responsibility.?
I think the best scenario for us now is McCain wins, dies in office soon, is succeeded by Palin who nominates Barr to be her replacement Vice President. Still, with the choice of Palin and the possibility that she will end up succeeding him, I'm not so depressed about things anymore.
McCain actually made the smart move in picking Palin, which surprised me. This election has been one where neither side looked like it really wanted to win. Until now.
I still won't vote for him, of course, but I sure do appreciate McCain injecting a little life into the party. Between this pick and Obama's skeletons coming back to haunt him, plus his idiot move of picking Biden, I think McCain should be considered the odds-on favourite.
